Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2025
We collect only the data needed to sell you the right part and deliver it. We are data controllers registered under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and this policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.
01What we collect
Order data: your name, phone number, email (optional), delivery location, order details and payment method — needed to fulfil and warranty your order.
Inquiry data: whatever you send us through the contact form, request-a-part form, WhatsApp or phone, including vehicle details you choose to share.
Usage data: basic analytics via Google Analytics (page views, device type, approximate location) used to understand traffic and improve the site. Google Analytics is configured with anonymised IP.
02How we use it
To verify fitment, confirm orders, arrange delivery, process payments and warranty claims.
To answer inquiries and, where you have not objected, to follow up on pending part requests.
To improve the website and keep our catalog aligned with what Kenyan drivers actually buy.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Delivery partners receive only the name, phone number and location needed for delivery.
03Cookies
We use a small local-storage cart on your device and the standard Google Analytics cookies. No tracking is used for advertising against your profile.
04Retention
Order records are kept for 7 years as required for tax and warranty purposes. Inquiry and contact records are kept for 2 years unless needed for an active warranty claim.
05Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by calling 0717 031 980 or emailing info@mycarpartskenya.co.ke. You may also withdraw consent for follow-up communication at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.
